Building Better Software – A Requirements Workshop
(Utilizing Use Cases)

Course Objectives:
· To increase knowledge of software development life cycle and role of users,
· To increase comfort with IT terminology,
· To understand the importance of “good” user requirements,
· To learn how to specify functional requirements through use cases and how to document non-functional requirements, and
· To increase team productivity (reviews, checklists, etc.)
Course Description: Use Cases are a technology independent, structured approach to the concise and accurate articulation of software user requirements. While Use Cases are typically associated with object oriented development, their usage and applicability extends to all types of software development. This workshop is offered in two flavors – one for software users/customers and one for software developers. The PUBLIC WORKSHOP OFFERING is Use Cases and Function Points for Software Developers.
