This one-day workshop provides an introduction to software measurement and is intended for IS managers, measurement coordinators, and others who require an appreciation of the key elements to starting and implementing a software measurement program.

measurement concepts, key measurement program components, critical success
factors, implementation steps, how to sell your program, common challenges,
presentation of results and evolution of your program.
The workshop will also include a short overview of function points, but WILL
NOT address specific counting rules or examples.
Who should attend?
Project managers, measurement coordinators and others needing an understanding of software measurement. This workshop is ideal for those with less than six months experience in implementing a software measurement program.

It has been offered as part of QAI’s International Quality Conference, Practical Software Quality Techniques (PSQT) conference, ASQ’s International Conference on Software Quality, Applications of Software Measurement (ASM) conference and the International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) Conference. It was simultaneously translated into Italian at a Rome training course (preceding the IFPUG / GUFPI joint metrics conference).
